Financial Accounts

Financial transparency is key to a lot of things.

Students want to know why they need to pay so much in lab fees. Fifteen thousand cedis per term is no small change. Parents want to know where the money goes. External auditors want to know whether the house is in order.

How much does it take to run a computer facility, for maintenance, operating costs, upgrading? Could the money be better spent? How much wastage is there? People deserve good answers.

With this philosophy in mind, we offer the following complete accounts.

The computer lab was opened in March 1999. The records run from January 2000, when the accounts were first transferred to computer, through August 2001.

The spreadsheets are in Adobe PDF format. You will need the Acrobat Reader, available free from Adobe Systems Inc. All receipts are on file (and presumably available for inspection) at the computer lab at Wenchi Secondary School.
